Compressed Air Systems

Air Compressors From Managed Air SystemsManaged Air Systems has been working with Atlas Copco for nearly 20 years provide compressed air systems for nearly all markets throughout the northeast and in some cases across the country.  We can provide compressors from ½ HP to 100 HP that cover a wide range of applications.

Depending on our customer needs, we can offer traditional oil-injected screw compressors, to highly sophisticated oil-free rotary tooth compressors called Z machines or scrolls.  Atlas Copco also manufactures a full line of variable speed driven (VFD) machines that can provide air on demand to meet the actual requirements, saving valuable energy costs.

Atlas Copco is a Swedish industrial company that was founded in 1873, as a manufacturer of industrial tooling and equipment.

The Atlas Copco Group is a global industrial group of companies headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Revenues for 2011 totaled nearly $90 billion. The Group employs more than 35,000 people and the company manufactures products in 68 production sites in 20 countries.

Air Compressor UnitsAtlas Copco companies develop and manufacture industrial tools, air compressors (of which it is the world's leading producer), construction and mining equipment such as rock drills, assembly systems, and offer related service and equipment rental. The products are sold and rented under different brands through a worldwide sales and service network reaching 150 countries, half of which are served by wholly or partly owned sales companies. The Group operates through a number of divisions within three business areas, Compressor Technique, Construction and Mining Technique, and Industrial Technique.

Why treat compressed air?

  • Wet, dirty air costs money.

  • Some air lines rust, corrode and eventually leak, costing money.

  • Air tools lose power, require more maintenance & repair.

  • Paint does not adhere properly or the finish is contaminated requiring expensive rework.

Where does the water come from?

Atmospheric air always contains some moisture. When air is compressed, its ability to hold water is greatly reduced and the excess water condenses out as a liquid. The temperature at which the water begins to condense out is called the Dew Point. As air cools below the dew point it will continually condense more and more water.

Remember…

A 10HP compressor could easily condense out 10 gallons of water a week.

Airnet Piping From Managed Air SystemsCorrosion free piping to minimize the risk of leakage and maintain less pressure drop over time leading to significant cost savings!

Airnet piping from Atlas Copco has a smooth inner aluminum surface with a range of polymer fittings. No special tools are required to install AIRnet the compressed air piping system. It's designed for easy installation and is low cost. It's AIRnet is made from robust, lightweight, powder-coated . Click here to learn more about the Airnet Piping System.
