Minuteman PaintboothMinuteman Trucks, a Walpole, MA based company, has been in business for over 20 years serving New England and beyond.  As New England's complete medium and heavy-duty truck support center, they deal in new and used trucks (classes 4-8) with such brands as International and Ford.  They also stock over 150 major manufacturers parts and have a warehouse that is second to none! They focus their business around convenience and support their customers needs without long delays.

Minuteman also has diverse offerings with a supply of Hybrid commercial trucks and a very unique capability with their sister company, Minuteman Fire Rescue Apparatus, Inc. (MFR).  This unique company is the MA, RI, NH, VT and ME dealer for Pierce Fire and Rescue vehicles in New England.  MFR will work to service, repair, paint or even to design, a custom vehicle to meet their clients' needs.

Recently Minuteman Trucks contracted with Managed Air Systems (MAS) to design build a turn-key fire rescue body and paint facility.

Minuteman Spraybooth StructureThis nearly 4,000 sqft facility is a one of a kind in New England with a Down Draft split cabin 80'L x 20'W paint spray booth.  For support equipment, this facility is equipped with a free standing paint room, a Eurovac central vacuum for dust collection, compressed air for spraying and dedicated breathing air, state-of-the-art gun cleaning and solvent recovery equipment and much more.  As part of the project the older existing paint spray booth was also upgraded, providing for an additional painting operation with a new Titan make-up air system, allowing for a total of three separate painting stations in total.

This new facility was an extensive process which required studies to assess the environmental impact on the property and wetlands and vehicle maneuverability around the tight and busy property.  It also required extensive site work to move sewer lines, run new utilities and provide for proper site drainage to reduce potential water shed issues, by the addition of the new building.  MAS acted as the Prime designer and general contractor for this project.  The project was lead by Paul Otterway, a Mechanical Engineer for MAS, who has 40 years of engineering experience.  Paul has worked for companies prior to MAS such as British Aerospace, Wilkinson Sward and Ransburg.  The project received the Certificate of Occupancy and was completed in November of 2012.
