Penske Truck Leasing Opens New Collision Repair Center in Annapolis Junction, Md.

Penske Truck Leasing has now opened its 17^th North American truck collision repair center, in Annapolis Junction, Md.

Reading, PA – Tampa, FL – Toledo, OH – Woodland, CA – Indianapolis, IN and one center located in Burlington, Ontario Canada.   

These truck collision repair centers can facilitate: repair warranty work; computerized brand color matching; refinishing and customized repairs, including decals and graphics; and mechanical repairs. 

In 2011, Penske collision repair centers handled over 21,500 repairs. “By retaining these repairs, we’re able to keep these dollars in-house,” stated James Svaasand, Penske’s business ventures General Manager. “We are also able to provide consistent service and professionalism, using advanced systems.” In the interim, customers can also access temporary replacement vehicles via Penske Truck Rental.  “The Annapolis Junction facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers, as well as commercial truck fleets,” Svaasand noted. 

The 15,500-square-foot building is housed on 5.2 acres and utilizes light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent.  The facility also contains a high-efficiency paint spray booth that greatly filters emissions and captures the paint overspray with an efficiency rating of 99.84%. This booth employs smart technology that minimizes energy and fuel consumption, housing a high-tech air filtration system.  This facility also utilizes a state-of-the-art AirNet Aluminum Air Piping distribution system.  This system provides for nearly zero resistance of airflow, minimal pressure drop, and virtually zero energy waste. 

Managed Air Systems (MAS) has worked with Penske Truck for over six years and has supplied a variety of services such as design and consulting, paint spray booths, mixing rooms, spray and breathing air equipment, service and Nitrogen spray painting equipment.
